Account and first steps 5 minutes
The app runs in the browser at jendrallek.expo.app. An account needs only an e-mail address and a password — there is no confirmation mail during testing, you get in right away.
- Choose your segment: BE HIM or BE HER. These are two separately developed programmes with their own exercises and their own opponents. You can switch at any time in your account.
- A few questions: your country, whether you work shifts, and a short trial workout. From the trial the app places you on its ladder — the placement is honest and adapts to your real training later.
- Tutorial — or not: After creating the account the app asks whether you want a tour. "Start without tutorial" is perfectly fine. You can start the tour any time via the ! in the top right of the home screen, and every page explains itself through its own exclamation mark.
If you work shifts, you enter them later in the settings — the app then arranges training and rest around your rota instead of the calendar.
The home screen your morning glance
The home screen ("Analysis") is made for the first look of the day. From top to bottom:
- The morning check: how you slept, optionally your resting heart rate. This feeds rest recommendations for training. Everything stays on your device. Skipping is allowed and has no consequences.
- Rings and level: your four rings show your segment's categories, below them your level and points. The level grows only from progress you earned yourself.
- Train today: the direct way into today's session.
- Your evening: when to wind down and when your alarm rings — the same numbers as on the sleep page.
- Three tiles: they always show the pages that are currently not in your navigation bar. Put one of them into the bar and the next one takes its place automatically.
In the top right sit three buttons: the gear (profile and settings), the ⇅ button (customise bar and widgets) and the ! (tutorial).
The cards of the home screen can be moved, removed and brought back via the ⇅ button — the home screen is yours.
The training programme ladder, daily plan, figures
The app tells you every day what is due. You do not have to put anything together or research anything.
- The ladder: In every category you stand on a rung — a concrete exercise. When it gets too easy, you move up. The app notices this from your sets; you do not have to change anything.
- The daily plan: The app picks the muscle that is due in each category — calculated from waiting time and backlog, not guessed. Your training rotates by itself.
- Shown, not described: Every exercise is demonstrated by a figure, with three short cues for the execution. There are no long text paragraphs.
- Counting reps: The big number in the set counter can be tapped and typed — 25 reps do not need 25 taps.
- Extra reps beyond your daily goal earn additional points.
- Support exercises: If the app detects a weakness in a category, the master suggests targeted extra exercises.
A rest day keeps your streak. The app even recommends rest actively when your morning check calls for it — and accepting five recommended rest days unlocks a skin of its own.
Bosses and trophies the game inside the training
A boss is a target made of repetitions. After every session you attack: your sets are the hits. Once the boss is beaten, its trophy goes onto your shelf. You cannot lose anything — an unbeaten boss simply keeps waiting.
- In BE HIM you fight through chains of opponents — knights, samurai, big cats and more, over thirty in total.
- In BE HER the opponents are the twelve zodiac signs. They are not defeated but completed: with every set more stars and lines appear until the constellation stands complete in the sky.
- The trophy shelf lives under Account → Trophies: all variants, your stars, your review. Whoever owns all variants of a collection reaches platinum.
- Gifting a trophy: You can gift a friend a trophy at most three times in your life. It becomes a keepsake in a separate area on their side and does not count into their collection — and you really lose it and have to earn it again. Both of you pay 800 points.
Points, level and skins what progress brings
- Points come from boss fights, extra reps, free training and won duels. You spend them on appearance: hit effects, profile frames and more. Points never buy progress.
- The level grows only from points you earned yourself — spending and gifts never change it. Unlocks hang off the level: cheering for friends from level 5, hosting your own events from level 15.
- Gifting points to friends is unlimited, because points only buy appearance.
- Skins change the whole look of the app. You earn them: the first one after a seven-day streak, more through certain bosses, completed chains and accepted rest days. In BE HER they are glowing constellation skins.
- Colours: Independent of skins you can change the accent colour and light/dark at any time in your account.
Your own gym plans your note
Under Training → own plans you build plans from a catalogue of 37 gym exercises, with an equipment filter and sets and reps via plus and minus. For machine exercises you can note the weight per set.
An own plan is deliberately a note: no boss, no daily goal and no points hang off it. Whoever wants points trains the programme — that keeps both sides honest.
Sharing plans: A shared plan arrives at your friend's side as their own copy. They can change it without changing yours.
Running the fourth category
Running is shared by both segments as the fourth category with its own ring. The app records your runs with distance and time; in the browser test, location works if you allow it.
Planned for later: a help button that sends your friends a message with your location while you are out running, in case something happens — it needs the app from the store and comes with the native version.
Logging food plain words are enough
You write what you ate — "2 eggs and oats with milk" is enough. The app knows the common foods; for unknown ones it asks by itself and estimates the values. Only if that fails too does it ask you to enter them by hand.
- The bars show calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat against your targets. They fill up, but they never turn red — not even when you go over. That is deliberate.
- Targets are calculated from your body data and your activity level. You can change both at any time on the nutrition page.
- Own foods are created once and then live in quick access. Recipes bundle several ingredients under one name — one tap logs the whole dish.
- Eating window: Your nutrition day does not have to start at midnight. If you eat at night — shift work, fasting — you move the start of the day in the settings, so the balance does not cut through a meal.
There are no points, no streaks and no judgements of your meals in the nutrition module. The app counts along, nothing more. If you want to get rid of counting entirely, you can switch nutrition off completely in the settings — the tab disappears.
Leon's picks fresh daily, tuned to you
On the nutrition page there is a daily selection of real foods — things that grow, graze, swim or lay eggs. None of it has an ingredient list.
- The selection rotates daily and follows you: your segment, your age and — if logged — your cycle phase. During menstruation, for example, iron sources move to the front.
- The coloured dots on the foods are the same as on the scanner. Tapping shows why something ranks high today.
- "Not for me": One tap and a food stops appearing. The app also learns from what you log and shows more of what you actually eat. You can bring back rejected foods at the bottom at any time.
- Dishes: The picks include simple dishes with short preparation notes — cooking instead of calculating.
The barcode scanner dots instead of sermons
On the nutrition page you will find the scanner for food. Point the camera at the barcode and the app shows the name, the nutrition facts and the coloured dots — and logs the product into your day with one tap if you want.
What the dots mean:
- 🟢 Green — unprocessed or barely processed; fits the concept
- 🟡 Yellow — processed; we deliberately do not recommend it
- 🔴 Red — ultra-processed
- 🌸 Pink — especially useful during menstruation
- 🔵 Blue — a notable zinc source, a building block of the testosterone balance
- ❗ — a personal note, for example for alcohol
- ✕ — the product contains something you yourself entered as an intolerance
Every dot shows its reason and its source when tapped. The data comes from Open Food Facts, an open database — only the barcode is sent, never your data. Entries there can be incomplete: for allergies, the packaging is always the truth, not the app.
Logging is never prevented. The dots rate the product on the shelf — not you at the table.
Cycle BE HER
On the cycle page you log your days. From this the app calculates your phase — and the phase speaks into the rest of the app:
- Into training: The follicular phase is where strength lives, around ovulation the app reminds you to warm up thoroughly, and in the luteal phase it explains why the same sets feel heavier.
- Into nutrition: During menstruation, iron, magnesium, omega-3 and calcium move to the front of the picks, and the scanner awards the pink dot.
What the app deliberately does not do: The estimated ovulation is cycle information, not contraception — the app says so too. There are no diagnoses; with strongly irregular cycles the app says exactly that and nothing beyond it.
Cycle data is specially protected health data. It stays on your device and is never transferred.
Testo BE HIM
The testo page shows your approximate daily rhythm and a forecast of when a heavy training day pays off. It is calculated from time of day, sleep and your entries — the app does not measure blood values and does not claim to.
- Into training: On a high forecast the app marks good days for heavy sets.
- Into nutrition: Foods with building blocks for the testosterone balance rank higher in BE HIM, and the scanner awards the blue dot for notable zinc sources.
The morning check and pauses recovery counts
The morning check on the home screen asks how you slept — optionally with your resting heart rate. If it looks like a heavy day, the app recommends rest instead of training. An accepted rest day keeps your streak.
Pauses: If you have to stop for longer — injured, ill or pregnant — you enter a pause in your account. The streak stands still, and for health reasons the app reminds you to talk to a doctor. In case of pregnancy the programme pauses completely; the app does not adapt any training, that belongs in medical hands.
The sleep page at a glance four areas, one evening
At the top of the sleep page you swipe between four areas: breath, alarms, meditation and light. Everything that belongs to one evening lies one swipe apart.
The breathing exercise: A flower made of dots opens and closes — you breathe with it. Two patterns are available: 4·7·8 for falling asleep (the long exhale makes you tired) and 5·5 for calming down. Four rounds are often enough. In BE HER a constellation breathes instead of the flower.
If you feel dizzy: just breathe normally. The exercise is not a competition — and persistent sleep problems belong in medical hands, not in an app.
Alarms and sleep schedule woken at the end of a cycle
Sleep runs in cycles of roughly ninety minutes, and at the end of a cycle waking is easiest. The alarm makes use of that.
- Setting an alarm: the time via two wheels, hours and minutes, to the minute. Plus your own weekdays and a name ("early shift").
- The wake window is the most important switch: with a window, the alarm rings up to 30 minutes earlier than set — at the calculated end of a sleep cycle. It never rings later than set. If you must be woken to the minute, set the window to "exact".
- Every alarm states in plain words when it will really ring — so the earlier wake time never surprises you.
- The sleep schedule (latest wake time, sleep goal, wake window) lives right next to the alarms. From it the app calculates when you should be in bed, with a warning three quarters of an hour before — that also appears on the home screen.
- Schedule and alarms work together: if your next alarm leaves less sleep than your goal, the app tells you openly. It never changes anything silently.
In the browser test the alarm plans and calculates — ringing needs system permissions and comes with the real app from the store. The page says so honestly, too.
Meditation and light falling-asleep aids
Meditation: Four guided sessions for four reasons to lie awake — moving through the body, staying with the breath, letting the day go, counting backwards. One line appears, then silence, then the next. There is no voice and no video; a quiet tone marks the start and the end. Each session describes beforehand what happens in it — so you do not have to look at the screen while falling asleep.
Light: A light session makes the screen brighten and darken in soft waves — meant for closed eyes, the light flickers through your eyelids. A tap anywhere on the screen stops it immediately.
Important: Flickering light can trigger a seizure in photosensitive epilepsy. The app shows a warning before the first session that you have to confirm — please really read it. The session is an experience, not a treatment.
Recommendations and your type skin, hair, season
At the top of the care page you choose your type — skin (dry, normal, oily, sensitive) and hair. After that, products and tips only show what fits you; the selection also changes with the season.
The products are sorted into categories — body, face, hair, teeth, fragrance — and can be collapsed. Every product carries one sentence explaining why it is recommended. Recommendations contain affiliate links, and that is always stated.
At JENDRALLEK, care is a recommendation, not a checklist: there is nothing to tick off and nothing to miss.
Care scanner and own products your shelf in the app
The scanner on the care page reads creams, shampoos and the like. It shows the ingredient list and coloured dots based on the EU cosmetics regulation:
- 🔴 Red — contains substances banned in the EU or substances that release formaldehyde
- 🟡 Yellow — contains EU-restricted substances or declarable fragrances
- 🟢 Green — none of these in the list
- 🌸 Pink — suitable for intimate care
- ❗ — with sensitive skin: contains fragrances that most often irritate it
- ✕ — contains something you entered as an intolerance
Own products: Scanned products go under "My products" with one tap — including their ingredients, so the ✕ checks your own shelf too. Adding by hand works as well.
Routines and appointments notes and calendar
Routines: You build them from recommended and own products — under one name, in your order. A routine is a note: nothing is ticked off, nothing is counted.
Scheduling — only if you want to: If you like, you give a routine a time, weekdays and a rhythm (say, twice per week). That is a note on the note, not surveillance. Reminders come with the native version.
Appointments: Massage, manicure, hairdresser — noted with a date and an optional time. "24.12." without a year automatically means the next occurrence. Once the Apple or Android link is in place, the appointments land in your calendar; until then they live on the care page.
Friends and duels a protected circle
There is no public feed and there are no profiles for strangers. You are visible only to people whose request you confirmed — and even friends see your raw numbers only if you share them individually. The switch for that sits right next to the friends list.
- Duels: You challenge a friend, both train, the winner gets points — the loser loses nothing. Declining has no consequences, and there is no stake.
- Cheering: From level 5 you can cheer for friends during their session.
- Gifting points is unlimited; gifting trophies is limited to three times in a lifetime and turns the trophy into a keepsake on your friend's side (more in the bosses guide).
Events meeting up instead of posting
Events are appointments: shared runs and activities with your friends. Anyone can take part; hosting your own events unlocks at level 15.
Events cost nothing and never will — there are no participation fees and no payment features in the app.
Your day quiet windows and training window
Under "Your day" you set quiet windows — times when the app wants nothing from you, say at night or during your lunch break. From your shifts and quiet windows the app calculates when training fits best today and shows it at the top.
The shift plan itself lives in the settings (account) — "Your day" reads it and shows you what applies today.
Mindset the master and the journal
Every day there is a thought of the day. After your first samurai victory the master joins — he comments on what he has actually seen in your training, and nothing else.
The journal is a free text field for your thoughts. It stays entirely on your device, is never transferred and never analysed — not even by the AI. The app also never asks about fears or symptoms.
Account and profile name, picture, language
- Username: unique in the app, changeable every 30 days.
- Profile picture: your own photo — or one of the bosses you defeated. Only the ones you really beat are available.
- Title: From level 3 you carry a title next to your name, chosen from the ones you unlocked.
- Language: German and English are complete; Spanish, Russian and Serbian are prepared.
- Segment: BE HIM and BE HER can be switched at any time — trophies and progress of both segments are kept separately.
- Deleting the account removes your data for good, including the account itself.
Shift plan for everyone working shifts
In your account you create your shifts — name, working hours and commute, up to six different ones. Below sits the 14-day plan: tap a day until the right shift shows.
The app keeps calculating with it: the training window on "Your day" knows when you work and when you are on the road, and places training in the time that is actually free.
Customising bar and widgets your app, your order
The ⇅ button in the top right of the home screen opens the customiser:
- The navigation bar: You decide which pages sit at the bottom and in what order — between three and six entries, the home screen is always included. Friends, trophies, events and the account are also available.
- The three tiles on the home screen automatically show the pages that are currently not in the bar — nothing ever gets lost.
- Widgets: The cards of the home screen can be moved, removed and brought back.
- Restore default puts everything back into the original order.
Your data what lives where
JENDRALLEK strictly separates two kinds of data:
- Health data stays on your device: cycle, sleep times, morning check, journal, pauses and their reasons, your care profile. None of it is transferred — not even for synchronisation.
- Your game progress lives in the account: sessions, sets, bosses, trophies, points, friends. The app needs this so duels and gifts can work.
The AI features (such as clarifying unknown foods) run through a secured server with a daily quota. Your journal and your health data are never handed to it.
"Delete account and data" in the account removes everything for good — including your e-mail address.
Tutorial and help the exclamation mark
- The crash course walks through the whole app in about twenty steps — it runs on the real screens, and the highlighted element stays usable. Every part can be skipped.
- Every page explains itself through its own exclamation mark in the top right.
- The question marks on individual words — ladder, boss, ring, streak — explain exactly that term right where it appears.
None of this starts uninvited. The app asks once after the account is created, and after that you decide.
There is no guide for that yet. Feel free to tell us what you were looking for.
